What is Pay-Per-Click Advertising?

Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC for short) is a way of buying visitors to your website.

Watch a short video I made for a pictorial explanation of what Pay-Per-Click looks like.

In Google, for example, the ads that appear on the top and along the sides of the organic search results are PPC ads.

You only pay when someone actually clicks on your ad and they are led back to your website.  If they do not click on your ad, you still get an impression, which means your ad appeared on the screen.  There is no charge for an impression.

The price you pay per click depends on the amount of competition for the particular keyword you are bidding on.

In order for PPC to work well for your business, you need to have a website that is able to convert new visitors into customers, otherwise, you are just throwing money away.

PPC is different from SEO.  SEO gets you into the organic search results.  It’s where most people look for answers to their search query.  When was the last time you clicked on a sponsored ad?

Even though SEO takes longer to work – as opposed to PPC which is immediate – I feel it’s the best place for your small business to be.  Once you are ranking, we keep building up your site, so you become competition-proof.  I can help get you there for the right buyer keywords that will get you more traffic and more sales.
