Improve Your Content And Get More Traffic To Your Website [Video]

Want to be the leading authority in your business? Want to dominate your niche online?

Well, you can’t do it with mediocre cookie-cutter content. As the business owner, you’re going to have to invest some time – or have your employees spend some time – creating the best possible content for your website. When it comes to Google, content is king. As the engineers in Silicon Valley continue to tweak their algorithm to give us the best possible search results to our queries, the websites that have the best chance of ranking high in search results are the ones with the most authoritative, quality content.

In this video, I show you one way I’m working with a local client to help them improve the quality of their site’s content – one page at a time.

Hey there, it’s Mike Munter and one of the ways I work with local businesses to help them improve their traffic and the number of sales that they get from their website is basically to get in and help them improve the pages on their website. And what I’m going to do is just kinda give you an example here of improving content.

I’ve got a client currently who – she’s an Allstate agent and one of the pages on her website is for “accident insurance”. Now, currently what’s on this page is, there’s about 250 words of content that isn’t really original. I think some of it has been copy and pasted from the Allstate website. And as a result a page like that is really not going to do well in Google. The page isn’t really well optimized, there’s not good content on it, and so this is kinda where I come in and we work together to improve the page.

So, here is what I’m recommending.

Number one is we want to add a title to this which – I don’t know if you can see that over here, but – you know, we want to call it “Accident Insurance – Oregon,” so that it’s more appropriate for people who are searching for accident insurance in the state of Oregon.

Now, the first thing we want to do is we want to say, “What is it? What is accident insurance?” and define this. And of course any time we’re writing it [content] up, it needs to be unique. Write it in your own words.

Let’s see, how bout, “What does it cover?” Okay? So, now we’re informing the consumer, we gave them some more information.

“Who needs it?” Who is a good prospect for accident insurance? What type of person – maybe give an example there.

Now, the next thing is, “How can it help you?” So, you can see what we’re doing here is we’re building a really informative page over what some people might consider to be a boring topic of accident insurance. And we’re not done yet!

Next, I always like to include case studies. And there are a couple ways you can do this. And, you know, this could be – it doesn’t have to be a lot – you could do one, or two, or three if you have that many. Obviously, your first case study – the way you’d like to do it is, you’d like to have a real example, so if you have a client who, you know, there accident insurance has saved them from disaster, we want to talk about that.¬†Obviously,with their permission.

But we want to describe that, talk about what happened, talk about what the coverage was and how it helped them out. If you don’t have a real case study, perhaps she can go to Allstate and maybe they have some examples that we can kinda re-write that example to provide something here.

What we’re looking to do is just really add some depth to the page and really help drive home, you know, the educational process: Okay, this is what the accident insurance is, this is how it can help you, and here’s an example.

So, this is another way that I help clients on a monthly basis to improve the content on their website and by improving it, what we hope is going to happen is that you’re going to get ranked higher in Google for your keyword “accident insurance oregon” and you’re gonna get more visitors and start to gain authority.
