How do I add my business to Citysearch.com?

Citysearch partners with InfoUSA for local business data. They offer an Express Update service that allows merchants to update their listing data as well as add new businesses. Once you’ve added your business please allow 1 – 2 months for the information to be on Citysearch. You can find them at www.expressupdateusa.com.

How can I correct incorrect information about a business listed on Citysearch.com?

Unfortunately we don’t currently have a way for our users, other than business owners, to add, close or edit businesses. If you own a business you can correct information by unlocking or “claiming” your business on the Citysearch profile page. You’ll need to verify that you own the business by entering a verification code that is sent to your business phone. Once claimed you will have the opportunity to make edits and add content to your business profile page. For step-by-step directions on how to claim your business, please click here.

What if my business is marked as “Closed” on Citysearch.com?

We obtain local business data, including addresses, phone numbers, and whether a business is open or closed, from InfoUSA, a third party vendor. We suggest that you contact InfoUSAdirectly to correct your business listing. Once the listing in InfoUSA is updated and Citysearch pulls in the data feed, the information will be updated in our directory. You can find them at www.expressupdateusa.com.

How do I dispute a user review?

If you believe a review violates one of the guidelines listed in our Terms of Use, you can ask to have it removed. Please include a link to your business profile page, the name and date of the tip and which guideline you think the tip violates. If our content moderators agree, the tip will be removed.

How can I make updates to my business profile page if I’m a CityGrid advertiser or have “claimed” my business on Citysearch.com?

If you have a CityGrid advertising campaign or have “claimed” your business profile page, you can make updates by logging into the CityGrid Dashboard at dashboard.citygrid.com. Once logged into Dashboard, you can click on the “Help” link at the footer of the page for a list of Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I reset my CityGrid Dashboard password?

Visit dashboard.citygrid.com and click on the “Forgot your password?” link located next to the green login button. You must enter the email address you provided when you signed up for a CityGrid advertising campaign or the email address you used when “claiming” your business profile page. You will receive a password reset email within a few minutes of clicking the “send instructions” button. It can take some email providers longer to deliver the email, so please allow up to 24 hours. Occasionally, the email will filter into your “spam” mailbox, so please check it in addition to your inbox.
